Ms. Dorothea Findlay discovered and staked this property almost 25 years ago. Always hoping to develop it when she got the money, she held on to it. But now serious health concerns have dashed any thought of her doing so. Therefore the property is for sale. The following is her summary of to the deposit.
The mining claims are located South and East of Victorville, California. There are eight (8) forty (40) acre claims. A total of 320 acres.
Terrain: The property is situated in a relatively level area of the northern slopes of the San Bernardino Mountains. The surface is loose sand and old stream beds.
Climate: The property is approximately at an altitude of 4500 feet. Year around activity is assured. However, there are times in winter when snow can accumulate up to several inches, and times in the summer when the temperature can reach the 100 degree range. These extremes do not prevent the working of the property.
Ore Body: The richest portion of the ore body is the red ore. It contains the highest quantity of gold, silver and platinum. A bulldozer was used to open the ore body by creating a bench eight feet wide and 1000 feet long. The assay reports are included in the pfd file report and show the ore will average approximately $3000 per ton."
